Take Action and Enter GSCCC Food Drive Contests

Use your imagination and ingenuity to have a successful food drive collection. Girls in troops or in other membership pathways may participate and enter to win gift certificates to the Council shop.

All entries must be submitted to GSCCC Public Relations Manager Kaitlin Smith - kaitlins@gsccc.org – by May 15, 2013. You may email or send by mail (GSCCC, 912 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
 

Promotion Contest

($25 Gift Certificate Awarded)

Design a flier (8 ½ x11”) or a poster (11 x17”) that you will distribute or place in your school or community. The flier or poster should be one-sided, full color and include a promotion slogan. Send the flier or poster, along with a description of how it was used, and include your name, age, troop number (if applicable) and contact information to kaitlins@gsccc.org.  
 

Photo Contest

($25 Gift Certificate Awarded)

Take a photo of a collection promotion such as: a decorated collection box, a neighborhood walkabout or a collection drive at a school, place of worship or recreation center. Submit photographs in JPEG format with a description of the photograph, full names of everyone in the photo, troop number (if applicable) and contact information to kaitlins@gsccc.org. All girls in photos must have a signed photo permission form on file. 
 

Pounds by Pounds

Complete this online report once you have collected food items.

Prizes will be awarded in two categories:

• The Girl Scout registered individually who collects the most pounds of food wins a $25 gift certificate to spend at the Council retail shop.
• The troop that collects the most pounds of food per girl wins a $50 gift certificate to spend at the Council retail shop.
