The Impact of Media Violence on Children


Join Bon Secours Family Focus, Chesapeake Public Schools, Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare and the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast for The Impact of Media Violence on Children workshop. This workshop will address the impact that exposure to media violence has on the development of young children and what families can do to reduce their child’s exposure to media violence. Parents and professionals working with children will learn:
  • Ways that children are exposed to media violence.
  • Strategies to reduce the impact of media violence in young lives.
  • Facts related to media violence.
  • What families should teach young children about media.
This free event will take place on Tuesday, February 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chesapeake Public Schools Parent Resource Center, located at 369 Battlefield Blvd., South.
